TL;DR
It is story of a man named George Samsa, who one day woke up to find himself transformed into a giant dung beetle as the story progresses we find out how he dealt with the difficulty which arose from his sudden transformation
Review
The book tries to convey the harsh reality of human society which is “You are only good till you are useful”. George was the provider for the family and used to be loved until he wasn’t . His transformation made him unable to work and thus becoming a liability on the family.
The amazing part of Kafka’s writing is that as how absurd it may sound but he had portrayed is as a normal story there is no expiation of how the transformation took place etc but the effect and cause are justified as it would be in real life ( i guess). I love how the book feels so real rather and a dramatic event taking place in some far kingdom blah blah. Its happening in real life might happen with you tomorrow ( i wish and pray it doesn’t).
Really a thought proving story.
