The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

By Mark Manson

Discomfort, values, change

4.5/5

TL;DR

It’s about choosing to care only about what is truly important and accepting that struggle and failure are inevitable parts of a meaningful life.

Review

The only self help book that I think is worth reading. The core ideas of the books are a bit counterintutive and can be felt as attacking one self but if you have courage to see life from a diffrent perspective you would really enjoy it.

A “counter-intuitive” self-help guide that argues life’s improvement doesn’t come from “turning lemons into lemonade,” but from learning to stomach lemons better. It’s a call to stop chasing a hollow “positive” life and instead find meaning through struggle.

As its said in book

The pursuit of positive experiences is itself a negative experience. And, paradoxically, the acceptance of one’s negative experience is itself a positive experience.

A must read if you are feeling you are not worth it.
